Kim Pereira

Kim  hails from a background in architectural draughting, which appears paradoxical at first, given the oil medium she prefers, which has few strictures. Nature, however, is given form under her brush and a quietly suggested structure.

Amongst the mediums she explores are charcoal, ink sketching and monoprints. 

“Currently, I am working with mixed media, on paper and canvas, in a playful explorative way using found objects, stencils and drawing tools to suggest and evoke a sense of the subject,  rather than drawing in the traditional way.”
