A graduate of Cape College, Weyers du Toit became a full time professional in 1998 and currently works from the Overberg area of the Western Cape.
His métier is realism and his philosophical standpoint includes trying to faithfully capture images from life, mainly in oils.
A constant student, he still seeks to explore his discipline, but has introduced an element of play as part of his exploration. 

“It is not for me about  the meaning of the object. I strive for beauty and truth and to find my own voice and ceiling. I am a constant student and I believe life is the ultimate teacher.”
